The next week was a whole lot of travelling for Franzi. Alex flew out to Detroit Monday morning, while Franzi kicked-off the day in the office until flying out to Orange County, California later that day. Here Franzi spent spent Tuesday and Wednesday at the client site. Getting used to these travel schedules will take some time. In Europe almost every location, being it in German, Spain, Italy, Switzerland, etc. is reachable within approximately 1-2 hour of flying. Here in the US, flights within the country could easily take up 5-6 hours. Not only due to the Jet-lag, Franzi managed to get herself out of bed early on Wednesday and made it to the beach for a run, to watch the sunrise and observe some surfers start their day in the cold pacific. A client site in such beautiful surroundings is for sure nothing typical.
Wednesday night Franzi continued her journey towards Chicago to spend the Thursday with the team at our US headquarter.
Back in New York late on Thursday we strolled along 2nd avenue and had some pulled pork at Mighty Quinn’s BBQ and a little Froyo on the way back home. This became kind of our ritual on Thursday nights and is a nice way to unwind and talk through the week.
After the day at the office on Friday, we had a happy hour at the Stitch Bar. That Friday the first wave of summer interns came in, so it was a great chance to meet them and other colleagues in the office!
