Sad day: Con & Charly leaving. They were off to Mexico, while Franzi flew to California and Alex to Chicago. For the two of us, business as usual with a relatively uneventful week that passed by quickly.
On Friday we first went to Spiegel to have a look at Alex’s drawings of two motorcycle tanks hanging in the bar and restaurant. Shmulik, our friend and the owner saw the drawings of chairs Alex recently did and really liked them. He asked Alex whether he could also do something motorcycle related that fits the theme of his bar and restaurant and offered to put them up on his wall. Of course, this was a great opportunity for Alex which he did not let pass by. Really cool to see his own art in a public space!
After a drink we had an authentic Mexican dinner at Rosie’s.
Saturday was the opposite of last Sunday weather-wise: it was ice-cold and snowing. On Sunday we were back to sunshine #climatechange and worked at our blog in our favorite getting-stuff done spot, Fairfax cafe after strolling through the neighborhood and the West Village. In Washington Park we listened to a Piano Player for a while who asked people to lay underneath the piano to fully emerge into his music. Weird to watch, but a nice idea 🙂
In the evening Franzi finished the bread she started baking in the morning, a fluffy braided yeast bun.
