Back in the city we wanted to enjoy the sunny day. We brought our bikes over from Germany (who would have believed that the old Holland bike from Franzi’s mother would make it to NYC one day…) and quickly fixed them up at a bike store in the neighborhood before having some homemade Granola at Spiegel, a lovely location with super friendly waiters and a neighborhood feeling. Highly recommended to go there if you are in the East Village!
From there, we biked all the way up the Central Park, which was fun and stressful at the same time. We took a tour around Central Park in the spring sun. We looked at suggested bike routes first but then decided to just ride wherever the roads take us. We even discovered a waterpark!
Besides offering great car-free bicycle and walking ways there are also beautiful places to relax, listen to some live music or even rent boats.
On the way back we picked up our Laptops from our future office.
In the evening, we went back to Spiegel – we found out that the place has a “Two-wheel-Tuesday”, a meet up for motorcyclists. We met some very nice people and got some future recommendations for potential motorbike trips and had very fresh and healthy Israeli food (the owner is from Israel).
