On Monday our visitor from Germany Nicola left New York to fly back home with some logistical difficulties after a flight cancellation the night before. Luckily we quickly found a solution and she eventually made it home.
Franzi flew to Madison and Alex stayed in NYC. The work week was fun and Franzi’s team celebrated a good Steering Committee meeting with dinner and Karaoke in Madison.
The good thing when working from NYC – there is some private time after a day full of work to focus on private projects. Alex continued to spend some time drawing. This time a gas tank from an old Honda motorcycle.
On Friday night after being reunited in New York City, we met with Tim and his girlfriend Alexandra, who returned from their road trip through New England. We had some drinks and appetizers at our place, and then went for dinner at Little Tong Noodle Shop (we can recommend the Everything Nice Chengdu).
On Saturday we did some shopping on the Union Square Greenmarket and bought a couple of small pumpkins and a dried flower bouquet to make our home feel a bit more fall-like.
During the day Alex went to Williamsburg to have a coffee with Jay and some other folks at Jane Motorcycle. Later in the day Alex got a haircut and Franzi joined him because the barber has an adorable cat – Juju – which loved to get some cuddles.
On Sunday it was pouring the whole day so we mostly hung out inside and fueled up for the coming week.
