Weekend time (after one day of “work”) 😉 We started off with breakfast at Tompkins Square Bagels, which has already become a tradition for us. Fun fact: Alex and I are a little obsessed with dachshunds – for sure we will have a mini dachshund one day. Alex by accident found a perfect event for us: The annual “Dachshund Spring Festival” in Washington Square Park. We decided to go for some cuteness overload and were blessed with countless little Dachshunds! There were many more Dachshunds than we expected, and it was a lot of fun petting some of these little cute creatures and just watching how much joy they bring to everyone.
The peak of the event was everybody signing the self-composed Dachshund song, which was a little too much for our taste so we just watched the spectacle in awe.
Afterwards, we walked from the West Village, through Soho and Noho into Tribeca, where we had a “light” lunch at Maman.
We made our way bake over the Broadway. Sometimes it is really worth to look upwards – NYC’s architecture is amazing!
We stopped by a Netflix Pop-up for their documentary “Our Planet” – go watch it right away if you haven’t yet, its’s truly amazing and shows our unique planet and why we need to protect it so urgently. In the evening we cooked a German “Auflauf” (casserole) and watched another episode of Our Planet.
