The next week started with a trip to Chicago for Franzi and Alex flew off to South Carolina again. Franzi had a team dinner on Tuesday which is always a nice break from typical work during the week. We both got back Thursday night on time, a small miracle.
Friday night after work, Alex went to a Triumph Event in New Jersey with Jay. The event was called “Best of British Tour” and organized to launch two new Triumph models. The Triumph Rocket III and the Triumph Bobber TFC.
In the meantime Franzi had some me-time cooking at home and finalizing Alex’s advent calendar.
Saturday morning we decided to go for a brunch and went to House of Small Wonder in Williamsburg. We had a very tasty breakfast and finally found a good hot chocolate in New York (a task that is more difficult than expected). We also got into talking with our table neighbors, Mark and Elena. We got along super well and talked so long that we were asked to leave the restaurant as other guests were waiting for our table. We exchanged numbers and promised ourselves to meet soon for some drinks!
Afterwards we went to Brooklyn Denim to find a new jeans for Franzi and were successful with Franzi’s first selvedge denim pants from Edwin (very hard to find a good selvedge denim jeans for women that does not contain elastan). Afterwards we visited Jay for a tea and coffee and Franzi tried once again to become friends with his dog George, which was only slightly successful.
In the evening we attempted to make our own sweetgreen Harvest Bowl, because we like it so much (Wild rice, kale, apples, roasted sweet potatoes, almonds, chicken, goat cheese and balsamic vinaigrette dressing) It turned out very tasty and was pretty easy, but took quite a while.
On Sunday, a slightly crazy journey started for Franzi – she was off to Pune, India for 48 hours. After a quick stop at the lounge for dinner, she entered the plane to take the longest flight of her life – T-15 hours.
